Abstract

The study aimed to assess the extent of availment and level of satisfaction of clients receiving services at Davao de Oro Provincial Hospital- Maragusan (DDOPH-Maragusan). The research specifically examined how these factors varied based on clients' demographic variables, with the goal of improving hospital services. A descriptive research design was employed, focusing on 330 clients admitted and discharged in December 2019. Data was collected through a researcher-made Survey Questionnaire. Findings indicated that the extent of availment and satisfaction differed significantly when respondents were grouped by demographic variables. Overall, clients reported a very high extent of availment and satisfaction with services in medical, nursing, and ancillary areas. Despite this, there were areas where improvements were needed, as reflected in lower ratings for specific services. To enhance the hospital’s services, an action plan was developed. This plan outlines strategies to strengthen the health programs of Davao de Oro, addressing weaknesses in specific areas while ensuring sustainability and efficiency in the hospital’s operations. The action plan aims to improve the overall healthcare experience in medical, nursing, and ancillary departments at DDOPH-Maragusan.
