Authorship and Contributorship

The International Multidisciplinary Journal of Research for Innovation, Sustainability, and Excellence (IMJRISE) upholds the highest standards of ethical publication practices, including clear and transparent policies on authorship and contributorship.

Authorship Criteria

An individual is eligible to be listed as an author if they meet the following criteria:

  1. Substantial Contributions: Made significant contributions to the conception, design, data acquisition, or analysis and interpretation of the study.
  2. Drafting and Revising: Played a key role in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for intellectual content.
  3. Approval: Reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript.
  4. Accountability: Agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring accuracy and integrity.

All four conditions must be met to qualify for authorship.

Contributorship

Individuals who do not meet the authorship criteria but contributed in other significant ways should be acknowledged as contributors. Examples include:

  • Providing technical support
  • Offering general supervision
  • Assisting with funding or data collection

These contributions should be listed in the Acknowledgements section of the manuscript.

Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  • Ensuring all authors meet the authorship criteria.
  • Managing communication with the journal during the submission, review, and publication processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all journal policies.

Group Authorship

For work conducted by a large group, the group name may be listed as the author, with individual members mentioned in the manuscript as contributors.

Changes to Authorship

Any changes to the list of authors after submission (addition, removal, or reordering) must be approved by all listed authors and justified in writing to the journal.

Disputes in Authorship

IMJRISE adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines for resolving authorship disputes. If a disagreement arises, the editorial office may require written explanations or supporting documents from all parties involved.

Ethical Responsibility

By submitting a manuscript, all authors confirm the accuracy of their contributions and agree to uphold the journal's policies on research integrity and publication ethics.
