Manuscript Preparation
The International Multidisciplinary Journal of Research for Innovation, Sustainability, and Excellence (IMJRISE) requires authors to carefully prepare their manuscripts according to the following guidelines to ensure a smooth peer-review process and consistency across published articles:
1. Formatting
- Font: Use Verdana, 8-point font for the main text.
- Margins: Set 1-inch margins on all sides.
- Line Spacing: Use single spacing throughout the manuscript, including the references.
- Page Numbers: Include page numbers in the upper right corner.
- Headings: Follow a structured format using APA style for section headings (e.g., bold for main headings, italics for subheadings).
2. Title Page
- Title: Provide a concise, informative title of no more than 15 words.
- Authors: List all authors’ full names, affiliations, and email addresses.
- Corresponding Author: Clearly indicate the corresponding author and provide their contact information.
3. Abstract and Keywords
- Abstract: Provide a summary of the study, including the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions, in 150–250 words (suggested).
- Keywords: Include 4–6 keywords or phrases that best describe the research for indexing purposes.
4. Main Sections
- Organize the manuscript with clearly defined sections. See the Template/Outline section for the specific structure of each research type.
5. Tables and Figures
- Placement: Place tables and figures within the text near where they are first referenced, or include them as separate files if requested.
- Formatting: Use APA style for table and figure captions. Ensure tables are clear and figures are of high resolution (300 dpi or higher).
- Numbering: Number tables and figures sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
6. References
- Follow APA 7th edition format for all references.
- In-text Citations: Use the author-date citation system (e.g., Smith, 2023).
- Reference List: Include a complete list of references at the end, ordered alphabetically by the first author’s last name.
7. Appendices (if applicable)
- If additional materials are necessary, include appendices at the end of the manuscript and label them as Appendix A, Appendix B, etc.
- Refer to each appendix in the main text as needed.
8. Supplementary Materials (if applicable)
- Any additional materials, such as datasets or protocols, can be submitted as supplementary files. Clearly label each file and ensure that they are referenced in the main text.
9. Ethics Statement
- For studies involving human or animal participants, include a statement on ethical approval and consent in the Methodology section, specifying the institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee that granted approval.
10. Language and Proofreading
- Manuscripts must be in clear, grammatically correct English. Authors are encouraged to have their work professionally proofread if necessary.
- Avoid jargon and define any specialized terms to make the research accessible to a broad audience.
These guidelines ensure that all manuscripts submitted to IMJRISE meet academic standards for clarity, structure, and formatting, facilitating efficient review and a high-quality final publication.
