The International Multidisciplinary Journal of Research for Innovation, Sustainability, and Excellence (IMJRISE) is committed to upholding the principles of intellectual property (IP) rights. This policy outlines the journal’s stance on the ownership, use, and protection of intellectual property to safeguard the rights of authors, contributors, and other stakeholders while fostering a culture of academic integrity and innovation.

- Author Ownership: Authors retain the copyright of their published work unless otherwise agreed upon in a written and signed contract.
- License to IMJRISE: By submitting their work, authors grant IMJRISE a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the content in any form, both print and digital.
- Reuse by Authors: Authors are free to reuse their work (e.g., in books, presentations, or institutional repositories) provided that the original publication in IMJRISE is properly cited.
2. Copyright Transfer and Licensing
IMJRISE operates under an open-access framework, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to readers.
- Creative Commons License: Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction of the work, provided the original authors and source are credited.
- No Commercial Exploitation: The journal does not permit the use of its content for direct commercial purposes without prior approval from the authors and the journal.
3. Authorship and Attribution
- All listed authors must have made a substantial contribution to the work and must approve its submission and publication.
- Proper attribution must be provided for any intellectual property, such as figures, tables, or data, used from external sources.
4. Plagiarism and Misuse of Intellectual Property
IMJRISE has a strict anti-plagiarism policy to protect intellectual property rights.
- Plagiarism Check: All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using recognized software tools.
- Consequences of Misuse: Instances of plagiarism or unauthorized use of intellectual property will result in immediate action, which may include rejection, retraction, or reporting to the author’s institution.
5. Third-Party Materials
- Authors must obtain permission to reproduce any copyrighted material (e.g., images, charts, or text) not covered by fair use and acknowledge the source accordingly.
- Responsibility for securing permissions rests solely with the author.
6. Protection of Intellectual Property
IMJRISE takes steps to protect the integrity of the intellectual property it publishes:
- Digital Object Identifier (DOI): All articles are assigned a DOI to ensure consistent citation and tracking.
- Archiving: Articles are archived in trusted repositories and indexing platforms to prevent unauthorized modification or misuse.
7. Breaches of Intellectual Property Rights
- Allegations of IP infringement or misuse by IMJRISE, its authors, or third parties will be thoroughly investigated.
- Remedies may include issuing corrections, retractions, or legal action, depending on the severity of the infringement.
8. Author and Reader Rights
- Authors: Retain the moral rights to their work, including the right to be acknowledged as its creator.
- Readers: Have the right to access and share the work under the conditions of the applicable Creative Commons license.
9. Dispute Resolution
IMJRISE encourages amicable resolution of disputes related to intellectual property. In unresolved cases, disputes may be referred to relevant legal or institutional bodies for adjudication.
