- Disputes regarding editorial decisions (e.g., rejection of a manuscript).
- Allegations of misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication, or ethical breaches).
- Concerns about the peer review process (e.g., perceived bias or conflict of interest).
- Issues related to publication ethics (e.g., authorship disputes).

How to File a Complaint or Appeal

- Details Required: The following information should be included:
- Name and contact information of the complainant.
- Specific details of the complaint or appeal.
- Supporting evidence or documentation, if applicable.
Handling Complaints
- Initial Review: Complaints will be acknowledged within five (5) working days and initially reviewed by the Editorial Office.
- Investigation: If the complaint involves an editorial decision, it will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief. For ethical concerns, the matter will be referred to the appropriate members of the editorial board or an ethics committee.
- Resolution: The journal will aim to provide a resolution within four (4) weeks. If further investigation is needed, the complainant will be informed of the delay and the expected timeline.
Appeals Process
Authors who wish to appeal an editorial decision must:
- Clearly state the grounds for their appeal in writing.
- Provide additional evidence or justification to support their case.
Appeals will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated senior editorial board member who was not involved in the original decision. The final decision on the appeal will be communicated within six (6) weeks.
Ethical Oversight
IMJRISE adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for managing complaints and appeals. If the complainant is unsatisfied with the resolution, they may escalate their concern to COPE for further review.
Confidentiality
All complaints and appeals will be handled with strict confidentiality. Details will only be shared with relevant parties involved in the investigation and resolution process.
