Abstract

The study investigated the challenges faced by MAPEH teachers during in-person classes in the School Year 2022-2023 in Hinoba-an district, Negros Occidental. Thirty-six teachers were surveyed, categorized by marital status, educational attainment, and tenure. Using a descriptive research design with a researcher-made survey, findings indicated prevalent difficulties in utilizing learning resources effectively, managing classroom behavior, applying pedagogical skills, preparing learning materials, and assigning tasks. While differences in difficulties were noted across marital status, educational attainment, and tenure, significant variations were primarily observed in pedagogical skills and preparation of learning resources. Despite these challenges, the study concluded with an intervention plan tailored to address identified issues and improve teaching practices.
