Mga Hamon ng mga Mag-aaral sa Field Study

Ang Field Study Program ay isang programa na bahagi ng kurikulum at pagsasanay na isinasagawa ng Teacher Education Insitution. Ang layunin ng pag-aaral na ito ay matukoy ang mga hamon na kinakaharap ng mga Filipino major na mag-aaral ng Field Study, matukoy ang epekto ng Field Study Program sa mga Filipino major na mag- aaral, at masuri ang mga posibleng hakbang ng Teacher Education Institution sa pagpapatupad ng isang matagumpay na Field Study Program. Ang pananaliksik na ito ay gumamit ng phenomenological na disenyo. Ang mga kalahok sa pag-aaral na ito ay siyam na Filipino major na mag-aaral ng Field Study mula sa College of Education, Misamis University na pinili sa pamamagitan ng purposive sampling. Ang mananaliksik ay nagsagawa ng panayam gamit ang mga gabay na katanungan na sariling gawa ng mananaliksik. Ang mga datos ay sinuri gamit ang pamamaraan ni Moustaka. Ang pag-aaral na ito ay nagbunga ng sumusunod na mga tema hinggil sa mga hamon ng mga Filipino major na mag-aaral ng Field Study: (1) Kahirapan ng mga Mag-aaral na Kanilang Tinuruan sa Paggamit at Pag-intindi sa Wikang Filipino; (2) Kakulangan sa Pamamahala sa Oras; (3) Kakulangan sa Suportang Pinansyal, mga epekto ng Field Study Program sa mga Filipino major na mag-aaral: (1) Kalinangan sa Kasanayan sa Pagtuturo; (2) Kalinangan sa Wastong Pamamahala sa Klase; (3) Kalinangan sa Pedagohiya sa Pagtuturo sa Tulong ng Cooperating Teachers at mga posibleng hakbang ng Teacher Education Institution sa pagpapatupad ng isang matagumpay na Field Study ay ang mga sumusunod: (1) Maagang Exposure sa mga Kasanayan sa Pagtuturo; (2) Pagsagawa ng mga Seminar at Palihan. Ang mga Filipino major na mag-aaral ay naharap sa iba’t ibang mga hamon sa kanilang naging Field Study ngunit nagkaroon naman ng positibong epekto at nakatulong ang programa na ito sa pagpapaunlad ng kanilang kasanayan sa pagtuturo, maaaring namang mapabuti pa ang Field Study Program sa pamamagitan ng maagang exposure at pagsasagawa ng mga seminar at palihan. Iminungkahi na magsagawa ng quantitatibong pananaliksik tungkol mga salik na nakaaapekto sa pagganap ng mga mag-aaral sa Field Study at Internship.
