Abstract

This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the enduring significance of Noam Chomsky's  seminal work, "Language and Responsibility," within contemporary linguistic discourse.  Employing a systematic literature review approach, the study investigates key themes that  elucidate the profound impact of Chomsky's contributions to the field of linguistics. Through the  exploration of four central themes, including the universality of language structures, the critique  and reformulation of Chomskyan linguistics, the interdisciplinary relevance of his work, and the  evolution of his linguistic framework, the study offers insights into the dynamic and multifaceted  nature of Chomsky's enduring influence. The findings underscore the ongoing debates and  critical engagements that have shaped the trajectory of linguistic research, reflecting the nuanced  understanding of the intricate interplay between language, cognition, and sociocultural dynamics.  This study contributes to a deeper appreciation of Chomsky's intellectual legacy, highlighting the  relevance of his work in fostering interdisciplinary dialogues and shaping contemporary  perspectives on language, thought, and communication.
