Abstract

This study provides a comprehensive examination of the transformative impact of Multisensory  Structured Language (MSL) techniques in addressing the persistent challenges within literacy  acquisition. Through a systematic literature review, this research elucidates the pivotal role of MSL  interventions in fostering enhanced phonological awareness, improved reading proficiency,  promoted neuroplasticity, and facilitated embodied learning experiences among diverse learner  populations. Findings highlight the profound influence of MSL techniques in promoting equitable  and inclusive educational practices, particularly for students with dyslexia, reading disabilities,  and other learning differences. The integration of multisensory elements within literacy instruction  fosters a more comprehensive understanding of language, stimulating neuroplastic changes and  enhancing cognitive processing. Moreover, the embodied learning experiences facilitated by MSL  techniques foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment that accommodates diverse  learning styles and promotes a deeper conceptual grasp of linguistic concepts. The implications of  this study extend to educators, policymakers, and practitioners, emphasizing the practical  applications of MSL interventions in fostering comprehensive literacy development. By providing  valuable insights into the effective implementation of MSL techniques, this research contributes  to the design and implementation of evidence-based literacy intervention programs that cater to  the diverse needs of learners, thereby fostering a more equitable and proficient educational  landscape.
