Abstract

The study investigated the compliance, commitment, and challenges faced by school sports coordinators in implementing the "Sports for All" policy during the 2023–2024 school year in a large Division in Central Philippines, focusing on 55 teachers from fourth-class municipalities. Using validated instruments and reliability testing with Cronbach’s alpha, the research employed descriptive, comparative, and relational methods, with statistical analysis via SPSS, including frequency, percentage, mean, Mann-Whitney U-test, and Spearman Rho. Results showed a very high level of compliance and commitment, indicating that coordinators are competent and motivated, fostering a conducive environment for the policy’s success. However, significant implementation challenges remain, potentially limiting inclusivity and effectiveness. Notably, a strong positive correlation was found between compliance and commitment, suggesting that higher commitment is linked to better adherence to policy principles. Based on these findings, the study recommends regular training, policy evaluations, resource allocation, recognition systems, mentorship programs, and the promotion of inclusive, equitable practices aligned with UN goals, as well as investment in improved sports facilities and equipment.
