Many elementary teachers face challenges in classroom management. Poor classroom management can show up in a few ways that impair student achievement and the learning environment. First, there may be a lack of organization and confusion due to uneven application of norms and procedures on the part of the teachers. Disruptions during classes, behavioral problems, environmental factors, or acting off-task might be caused by this inconsistency. In this study, the researcher aimed to present the classroom management difficulties that elementary teachers face in the classroom to come up with an intervention plan. It considers Kounin's management model to emphasize an in-depth understanding on the teachers’ part on their difficulty in classroom management. The study involves elementary teachers at district of a medium-sized in Central Philippines. Moreover, this research shows that the six areas in classroom management; learning instruction, learning materials management, classroom routines, time management, learning environment, and behavior management are greatly influenced by how equipped the teachers are in managing the learners and the classroom in general. Teachers’ roles and responsibilities in guiding the learners in the classroom are sought to be aligned to the PPST which is the framework for teacher quality and teacher development.
