Radiologic Services: Equipment Quality Control; Radiation Safety and Protection; Staff CompetencyAbstract
This study investigated quality assurance in radiologic services in Central Philippines, examining equipment quality control, radiation safety and protection, and staff competency; the survey also sought to understand the respondents’ profile in terms of age, sex, civil status, length of service, and highest educational attainment that influenced QA implementation. Using a descriptive-comparative design, data were gathered from 100 radiologic professionals in two ISO private hospitals and analyzed through statistical methods. Findings showed that quality assurance was consistently rated highly across all domains, with staff competency scoring the highest. No significant differences were found when results were grouped by profile variables, indicating uniform QA performance. The study highlights the effectiveness of standardized protocols and continuous training and recommends sustained investment in QA systems and further research on their impact on clinical outcomes.
