Abstract

(English Translation) This article focuses on the "Experience of Teachers and Students in Using Technology." From here, discussions on issues arose. It also emphasizes the challenges or obstacles faced by both sides whenever they use such tools in the field of education. Its aim is to explore the various experiences of teachers and students at Mandaue City College. This is done using a qualitative semi-structured form of interview. Qualitative semi-structured is a tool used by researchers to serve as a basis for formulating questions to gather sufficient data. The total respondents amounted to ten individuals consisting of five teachers and students, based on purposive sampling used. The five student respondents belong to the BSIT course, while the five teachers teach in various departments of Mandaue City College. In gathering the total data, interpretation is used; interpretation is a way to further refine the research results. Based on the study results, the negative experiences of teachers result in a lack of confidence in using technology, attributed to a lack of knowledge and teaching technology equipment. The negative experiences of students lead to concerns about technology use, abuse of it, negative health effects, inability to buy load, and poor internet connection or no signal. The results reveal the experiences of teachers and students in using technology in education, which indeed helps expedite project completion, but nonetheless, various issues still arise behind it. Technology is of high quality, accessible, and easy to use; it can be an important tool for improving teaching and learning. It is unique because students learn about the possible consequences of significant student attention decline in class. Students are more focused on the mobile technology they have with them and may be accused of plagiarism because students excessively use technology to copy information without permission or paraphrasing.
