Abstract

Drawing from a diverse range of studies, the findings consistently highlight the positive  influence of TED Talks on communication abilities. Speakers' adept use of rhetorical strategies,  storytelling, and nonverbal communication serves as a model for learners, fostering engagement and effectiveness in presentations. Additionally, TED Talks emerge as potent resources for  vocabulary acquisition, exposing viewers to diverse and contextually relevant language,  expanding their lexical repertoires. While celebrating these strengths, the study acknowledges  critical considerations. Scholars caution against the potential oversimplification of complex  issues and the risk of prioritizing style over substance in TED Talks. This nuanced understanding  encourages learners and educators to approach TED Talk-inspired techniques with discernment,  ensuring a balanced integration of captivating delivery with substantive content. The review  concludes that TED Talks offer valuable insights for enhancing communication skills in  educational and professional settings. The transferability of skills across diverse audiences,  coupled with a mindful awareness of potential pitfalls, positions TED Talks as dynamic tools for  navigating the intricate landscape of effective oral communication and vocabulary enrichment.
