Project MatSu Plus (Material Supplementation Plus) was an innovative literacy intervention designed to address the reading difficulties of struggling learners, including non-readers, frustration readers, and moderate readers, particularly in remote and underserved areas. The project utilized tailored supplementary materials, active parental involvement, and community support to enhance students' reading abilities. By distributing resources such as MatSuTu, MatSuTarpapel, MatSuWords, and MatSuCards, and facilitating access through MatSu Mini Hubs and MatSu Bikes, the project fostered an engaging and supportive learning environment. The results showed significant improvements in learners' reading levels, especially in word recognition and fluency. The active participation of parents and community members further strengthened the intervention, demonstrating the importance of collaboration between schools, families, and communities. Despite some logistical and sustainability challenges, the project proved effective in promoting literacy and can serve as a model for future educational initiatives aimed at struggling readers.
