Abstract

Ang pananaliksik na ito ay naglalayong suriin ang bisa ng lesson script bilang interbensyon sa paglinang ng kakayahan sa pagbasa ng mga mag-aaral. Sinuri ang antas ng kakayahan sa pagbasa ng mga mag-aaral gamit ang pre-experimental research na isinagawa mula sa 242 mag-aaral at 29 na guro sa Filipino. Ipinakita ng resulta na may makabuluhang pagtaas sa kakayahan sa pagbasa ng mga mag-aaral matapos gamitin ang lesson script (t = -30.247, p = .000). Ang paggamit ng lesson script ng mga guro ay nasa napakataas na antas, lalo na sa aspeto ng pagpapamilyar sa iskrip at pagsunod sa daloy ng aralin. Samantala, ang kaganyakan ng mga mag-aaral sa pagbasa ay nasa napakataas na antas bago ang aralin (M = 4.35), ngunit bumaba sa antas na "nagaganyak" habang at matapos ang aralin (M = 4.03). Natuklasan din na may makabuluhang kaugnayan sa pagitan ng kakayahan sa pagbasa at antas ng paggamit ng lesson script (r = .854, p = .036), ngunit walang makabuluhang kaugnayan sa pagitan ng kakayahan sa pagbasa at antas ng kaganyakan sa pagbasa (r = .588, p = .105). Ang mga resulta ay inangkla sa Sociocultural Theory ni Vygotsky, na nagsasaad na ang pagkatuto ay higit na napapabuti sa pamamagitan ng suporta mula sa kapaligirang panlipunan tulad ng gabay ng guro. Bilang kongklusyon, ang lesson script ay epektibong interbensyon sa pagpapahusay ng kasanayan sa pagbasa. Iminumungkahi ang pagpapaigting ng enhancement ng lesson script upang higit pang mapalakas ang kakayahan sa pagbasa ng mga tekstong Filipino.
