Abstract

This study investigates the evolving role of educational leadership and management in the context of digital transformation, with a particular focus on the integration of digital leadership principles within school environments. As educational systems worldwide face rapid technological advancements and ongoing challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, school leaders are increasingly required to adopt innovative strategies that support teacher effectiveness, promote meaningful technology integration, and ensure organizational resilience. Through a review of recent literature and global frameworks, this paper examines the key characteristics of digital leadership, including visionary thinking, technological competence, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to continuous learning. It also explores the challenges associated with implementing digital leadership, such as infrastructure limitations, resistance to change, and gaps in digital literacy. Findings indicate that effective digital leadership significantly contributes to improved teacher engagement with technology, fosters collaborative and adaptive school cultures, and enhances overall institutional performance. The study underscores the importance of leadership development programs that prepare school leaders to navigate the complexities of the digital age. Finally, the paper offers implications for educational policy and practice, advocating for a balanced approach that integrates digital innovation with human-centered leadership to create inclusive and future-ready learning environments.
